Northside Hospital, March of Dimes spotlight partnership

Northside Hospital team at March for Babies

March of Dimes is dedicated to improving the health of moms and babies by fighting premature birth, supporting healthy pregnancies and ensuring families have access to the care and resources they need during some of life’s most critical moments.

Across Georgia, March of Dimes works alongside hospitals, caregivers, community leaders and families through research, advocacy, education and family support programs that help strengthen maternal and infant health outcomes. One of the organization’s most visible community initiatives is Georgia March for Babies, which brings together thousands of families and supporters each year to raise funds and awareness in support of healthier futures for moms and babies.

A key part of the March of Dimes mission is supporting families experiencing a NICU journey. Through the NICU Family Support® program, March of Dimes team members provide emotional support, education and resources to families with babies receiving neonatal intensive care. In Georgia, that work includes year-round collaboration across all four Northside Hospital campuses, where NICU Family Support team members work alongside hospital staff to help strengthen support systems for families during a vulnerable and emotional time.

Northside Hospital has become a natural and deeply valued partner in this mission because of its longstanding leadership in maternal, newborn and neonatal care. As the signature partner for the 2026 Georgia March for Babies campaign, Northside Hospital helps bring together caregivers, NICU families, employees and community supporters in a shared effort to improve outcomes for moms and babies across the state.

“At Northside Hospital, we deliver more babies than any other hospital in the United States,” said Kelly Inoue, vice president of quality improvement and chief nursing officer. “Our partnership with March of Dimes through participation in March for Babies reflects our deep commitment to supporting the health and well-being of moms and babies in our community.

“Over nearly 25 years of partnership, our corporate sponsorship, employee contributions and matching gift program have generated meaningful funding for research, healthcare services and educational resources — helping reduce the rate of premature births and improve outcomes for families.”

Northside’s partnership with March of Dimes will be highlighted during Georgia March for Babies on May 30 at The Battery Atlanta, where families, hospital teams and community supporters will gather to celebrate babies, honor NICU journeys and support the work being done every day to give every baby the best possible start.

“March of Dimes exists to stand beside moms, babies and families through every stage of the journey, especially during the most difficult moments,” said Mary Koronkowski, development manager, March of Dimes Georgia. “Northside Hospital has been an extraordinary partner in that work because they share that same commitment to compassionate, family-centered care. Through NICU Family Support, March for Babies and year-round collaboration, we are proud to work together to strengthen care and support for families across Georgia.”
