For this Suwanee family, Northside Hospital isn't just where they work — it's where their story began.
New mom Naomi Kim has been part of the Northside family since 2010. She started her career as a labor and delivery nurse before transitioning into nursing informatics. Today, she works in the Center for Perinatal Medicine, where she partners closely with providers, including Dr. Juliet Bishop, one of the physicians who would later care for her during her own pregnancy.
In 2015, Naomi met her future husband, Sean Kim, a coordinator in Northside's Microsystems department, while working on a hospital project. The two were married in March 2023 and, just two years later, welcomed their baby girl at Northside Atlanta in February 2025.
Their delivery was a full-circle moment. Surrounded by familiar faces from Naomi's days in labor and delivery, the new mom felt comforted knowing that her former coworkers and friends were right by her side. The couple also credits Dr. Bryan Jewell and nurse practitioner Leah Pombo for their compassionate prenatal care.
“We had such an incredible birth experience at Northside,” Naomi said. “It meant so much to be cared for by people who have been part of my journey for years. We’re so grateful to be part of the Northside community — not just as employees, but now as a family.”
